Conan O'Brien Documentary Premieres at SXSW...With Conan in Attendance

Conan O'Brien Documentary Premieres at SXSW...With Conan in Attendance The audience at SXSW who attended the premiere of the documentary "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop" were treated not only to a behind-the-scenes look at Conan's life, but also caught a glimpse of Conan himself: the talk show host attended the premiere himself to see how the doc turned out.

The documentary was directed by Rodman Flender, who has been friends with Conan since they both attended Harvard back in the 1980's.

"I personally have trouble watching it because it's a time in my life that I don't like to go back to," said O'Brien of the film, which details the events following this departure from NBC and "The Tonight Show."

But good things came of the split, as Conan began a touring live show, discovered the beauty of social networking, grew a handsome beard, and finally landed on his new talk show "Conan" on TBS.

But it isn't always sunshine and daisies for Conan: word is that the documentary reveals O'Brien's dark side, which his staff has labeled "Mean Conan." O'Brien himself has said that when "Mean Conan" comes out, he will get devastatingly sarcastic and fight with his writing staff, sometimes physically.

The documentary sounds fascinating, and should provide an even closer, more personal look into the "Tonight Show" fallout. Keep an eye out for the film in limited release.
