'Community' finally gets a season 4 start date!
by Nicholas PageThe wait is over Community fans! NBC has finally set a date for the season 4 premiere. After NBC said that it will be waiting to put the struggling comedy on Fridays, they announced today that Community will air on Thursday, February 7 at 8PM. It will go back to Thursdays joining NBC's low rated but critically acclaimed block of comedies, like 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, and The Office.
Joel McHale tweeted the good news today. "Since there's no other news today here's some: #Community will premiere Thursday February 7th 8pm."
It was previously set to premiere on October 19 to air on Fridays paired with Whitney. NBC chose to put Whitney in place of the now canceled Animal Practice leaving the fate of the show up in the air.
Last year Community left something to be desired in the ratings department. Last year the finale brought in less than three million viewers, ranking a tragic 144 for the season. This prompted NBC to place the show on hiatus.
This is good news though to fans and critics alike. Its become a cult favorite over its four year run.
