Coming Soon: 'Avatar' the Disney Theme Park Ride

Seriously.

But there is hope for those people (besides Zoloft), as Disney has announced plans to bring an Avatar attraction to Disney World. Rather than simply installing a ride and calling it a day, Disney is taking the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" route and building an entire Avatar section of the park within the Animal Kingdom.

There will be rides of course, but the area is also likely to include the simulated environs of Pandora. I'm not sure if those retractable plants are a possibility, but if so I'll be spending my entire time in the park touching them.

All we have so far is an announcement from Disney and a target opening in 2017. So it'll still be quite a few years for those suffering from "Avatar" blues to get their cure. But hey, Pandora wasn't built in a day, you know?
