Comedy Central Plans Bin Laden-Themed 'South Park' Episodes for Wednesday

Comedy Central Plans Bin Laden-Themed 'South Park' Episodes for Wednesday Few shows have a knack for making fun of public figures quite like the irreverent "South Park" does. So, considering that the show already has two episodes that feature Osama Bin Laden in the bank, how could they resist showing them this week?

Comedy Central has shuffled their Wednesday lineup to include two reruns of "South Park" before the second new episode of the current season airs. The festivities will start at 9:00 pm, and will feature the episodes "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants" and "It's a Jersey Thing."

"Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants" is an episode that the "South Park" team aired less than two months after the September 11th attacks. The Emmy-nominated episode opens with Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny standing at the bus stop with anthrax masks on, when Stan muses, "Remember when life used to be simple and cool?" The rest of the story follows the four boys as they attempt to bring a gift to the children of Afghanistan and confront an outrageously cartoony version of Osama Bin Laden themselves. The episode was surprisingly patriotic for the normally anti-establishment "South Park," and provided much-needed humor in a dark time.

"It's a Jersey Thing" is a little more surprising in its approach to Bin Laden: the terrorist leader is called in to South Park to help combat an invasion of "Jersey Shore"-type mobs, but is shot by a special ops team at the end of the episode in one of the funnier (and more prescient) moments of last season.

The two reruns will air on Comedy Central Wednesday before the premiere of the second season, but if you want to watch them now just check out the "South Park" page on Yidio! "Osama Bin Laden Has Farty Pants" is Season 5, Episode 9 while "It's a Jersey Thing" is Season 14, Episode 9.
