Christopher Walken, Shirley MacLaine, Ashley Greene of 'Twilight' Sign on to 'Boom Boom Room'

It'd be one thing if there were reports of a new movie starring Christopher Walken and Shirley MacLaine.

Walken will famously take any project that can meet his price, and MacLaine's choice of late reflect either a similar disinterest or simply reflect the reality for actresses her age - you take what you can get.

It's also starring Adam Beach, who was the best part of "Flags of Our Fathers," and Ashley Greene of the "Twilight" saga. And then you do a double-take and realize you've been reading an article about a film called "The Boom Boom Room"? Okay, well that's something.

THEN you find out it's being produced by art-house celebrity and genius Wim Wenders (director of "Wings of Desire" and "Paris, Texas") and...Bono? As in U2's Bono? Yes, that one.

And it's the narrative debut of director Lian Lunson, who directed the 2005 documentary "Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man," and who previously had a career as an actress that included all of four projects in 1985 and 1986. Now you're completely afloat.

“This has been a vision of mine for a very long time,” Lunson told Screen Daily, who broke the news. “The story captures the essences of everyday life but in a fairy tale landscape.  It is a dream to be working with Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Walken, both of whom are playing roles unlike anything they’ve done before.”

It's hard to imagine Walken playing a role unlike anything he's done before, so that, along with this being a lifelong vision for Lunson, makes "The Boom Boom Room" a very intriguing project. It's always great to see people finding the means to fulfill their visions, and even if the synopsis sounds like it was written by a machine, if it lives up to that description it could be something really special.

Shooting commences this summer in New Mexico.
