Deion Sanders Comes to Christina Aguilera's Defense After Super Bowl National Anthem Fail

Deion Sanders Comes to Christina Aguilera's Defense After Super Bowl National Anthem Fail After Super Bowl singer Christina Aguilera provided the packed Cowboy’s stadium an accidental remix of the national anthem, Deion Sanders tweeted to her defense.

Christina (Crazy Lungs) Aguilera kicked off the Super Bowl with a vibrato roar that could parallel the F-18 flyover. As tears were streaming down the cheeks of football players' faces, twitter was gallantly ablaze with tweets noticing Aguilera skipped and mixed lines within the anthem.

The problem came during “O’er the ramparts we watched,” a line Aguilera left out completely. Attempting to make up for it, she combined words in the following lines to come up with “What so proudly we watched at the twilights last gleaming.”

After the fumble, commentator for the NFL Network Deion Sanders quickly tweeted to Aguilera’s defense:

"Y’all leave Christina along i was just informed that was the remix. The nfl was running behind so she was sweet enough to help us out."

With wild weather and oversold seating, damage control has been the name of the game for the NFL and Super Bowl XLV.

Luckily, there were no wardrobe malfunctions during the pregame festivities, which included a performance to “America the Beautiful” by Lea Michele of “Glee.” Michele worked a cream-colored coat and tan slacks, while Aguilera suited up in a black Dolce & Gabbana number.

In related news, Sanders, who rocked the coin toss of the game, made headlines Saturday after being voted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame. He was joined by Marshall Faulk, Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Ed Sabol, Les Richter and Chris Hanburger.
