Chris Brown's Mother To Rihanna: 'Tell The Truth And Set Yourself Free'

Chris Brown's Mother To Rihanna: 'Tell The Truth And Set Yourself Free' "Angry" apparently runs in Chris Brown's family.

Brown's girlfriend Karrueche Tran is likely no longer the only one in whose mouth Rihanna's recent "Oprah's Next Chapter" revelations left a bad, bad taste. Brown's mother and manager Joyce Hawkins has fired off via Twitter at her son's Barbardan, Grammy-winning ex with demands that she "tell the truth," Perez Hilton reports.

It was reportedly Rihanna telling Oprah Winfrey that she "misses" Brown, calling him "the lover of her life" and the "best friend" she feels she lost the night Brown went ape-s**t while driving the night before the 2009 Grammys, beating and biting Rihanna into a bruised, bloody mess. Rihanna went on to claim that at that time, Brown clearly "needed help" that nobody was willing to give him.

That shot Hawkins' claws out.

"TELL THE TRUTH AND SET YOURSELF FREE. NOT UNTIL YOU TELL THE TRUTH WILL YOU EVER BE FREE!!!!!! PEACE SOMETIMES COMES WITH A PRICE. DID YOU SAY SOMETHING? DID IT HELP ANYONE?" she tweet-shouted.

Keep in mind, this is the same woman who once also tweeted that "Michael Jackson died so that Chris Brown could live!!!"

Um, Miss Hawkins? Now would be a great time to stop helping.

If anything, Rihanna's remarks reflected uncommon compassion and forgiveness for the man who, in a single violent evening, tragically made her arguably America's most famous battered woman. Nobody has done more for Brown standing by his side, offering her public understanding and empathy, since his 2012 Grammy appearances' renewed tide of vitriol and contempt.

What is Hawkins really trying to imply? That something Rihanna did justified Brown threatening to kill her? If so, then do tell: why did neither Brown nor Rihanna mention it three years ago and set the record straight?
