Chord Overstreet Returning to 'Glee'

Chord Overstreet Returning to 'Glee' We thought Trouty Mouth was gone for good... but he's back! Departed "Glee" regular Chord Overstreet will return to the show a little later in the season, according to TV Line.

Overstreet originally declined the offer to return to the show as a recurring cast member at the end of season two, when he was demoted from series regular. Details are a little fuzzy as to why Overstreet decided not to come back, but it seemed as though he was simply done with "Glee."

Perhaps the job market wasn't as good as he thought? Maybe they offered him a storyline that was too good to pass up? Either way, the word is that as of episode eight of this season, Sam will be back in the fold in some capacity... it could be for a long arc, or it could be just for a few episodes.

What does this mean for the show? There was a promise at the beginning of the year for a focus on the core characters, and sure enough the more fringe characters like Ashley Fink's Lauren were more or less eliminated from the everyday happenings on the show.

With Sam returning, there's another character to worry about, and one that could cause some turmoil with the aforementioned core characters... Sam did, after all, date both Quinn and Mercedes (the latter for about a second at the end of season two).

Sound off, "Glee" fans: do you think it's a good idea to bring Sam back, or should Trouty Mouth just swim off upstream?
