Chloe Sevigny Headed To 'American Horror Story'

Chloe Sevigny 'American Horror Story' Suddenly, this developing "American Horror Story" takes a big twist.

Entertainment Weekly has reported exclusively that former "Big Love" star Chloe Sevigny looks all but signed to join Ryan Murphy's acclaimed FX thriller's second season. The early word around the campfire: she'll be playing a rival to Jessica Lange's head of East Coast institution for the criminally insane.

Just as interestingly? Sevigny's character is rumored to be named Shelly the Nymphomaniac.

Talks are supposedly in the final stages, with production set to begin this summer.

As had also been previously announced, season one players Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Lily Rabe will also be returning but, like Lange, playing completely new characters. The second-season cast will also include performances by new additions Lizzie Brochere and "The Voice" judge and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine.

"He's a sexy guy so he needs to play a sexy guy, but the guy that is different than who you think he would play," Murphy said. "I pitched him the part and he listend, slack-jawed, and simply said, 'I'm in.' The second season is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it; it's a really gritty part. He's with a girl and they play characters called The Lovers."
