Chip and Joanna Gaines Working On New Series

Chip and Joanna Gaines Working On New Series

When Chip and Joanna Gaines announced earlier this year that they were ending their hit HGTV show Fixer Upper, they claimed they were walking away to have more time with their kids. Other sources, however, said that the decision was about money and that the Gaines's would be shopping around for a new network for a new series. Now it looks like those other sources were more trustworthy than Chip and Joanna, because the couple are reportedly actively working on finding a place to start a new series.

It seems that the Gaineses aren’t cashing in their chips just yet.

Vanity Fair reports that Chip and Joanna Gaines, the stars of HGTV’s phenomenally successful “Fixer Upper,” are talking to “at least one outlet” about starting a new show once the final season of “Fixer Upper” ends.

Meanwhile, Vanity Fair reports that the stars clashed with Scripps over promotion of Magnolia — which the couple spread liberally throughout the episodes — even though Scripps doesn’t own a piece of their brand.
