The Colombian beauty was due shortly onstage to join in accepting the hit ABC sitcom's Outstanding Comedy Series award when her curvaceous rear decided to make a break for it and ....
Well, it's not clear today what the plan was after that. Though Vergara herself tweeted the below aftermath photos of her gorgeous gown's busted zipper being repaired by a quick-thinking bystander - and also, a picture of her buttocks looking astoundingly like lovely lady lumps at first glance - Vergara's butt has been conspicuously mum about the attempted breakout's motivation.

It was a great night for "Modern Family," overall. In addition to the series win, Eric Stonestreet brought home his second Outstanding Supporting Actor award and Julie Bowen was awarded Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
