Watch The New International 'Conan The Barbarian' Trailer

In just over a month, King Conan goes right back onto his throne.

The long-awaited remake of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic sword-and-sandals smash “Conan the Barbarian” arrives Aug. 19 starring Jason Momoa as the legendary conquering savage of Hyboria, but today we have the epic’s international trailer to whet mighty appetites for battle, bronze and beasts.

In the remake, the great Cimmerian warrior takes out a personal vendetta along the way to being the only thing standing between the nations of Hyboria’s salvation and defeat by a supernatural evil.

Momoa fills a massive loin cloth – and we’re not just talking about the Austrian Oak’s legendary frame. It was the two “Conan” movies that resurrected the brutal sword-and-sandal epics that in Arnold the Illegitimate Impregnator’s youth inspired him to the global bodybuilding stage with the muscular likes of stars like Steve Reeves and Reg Park.

Now, Momoa has a lot to live up to himself. Say what you will of the accent, the gapped teeth and his wooden delivery. Arnold in his prime had a presence no acting coach can teach. You have it, or you don’t. Arnold didn’t play Conan. Arnold was Conan.

Can Momoa be as awe-inspiring?

Conan the Barbarian” is directed by Marcus Nispel and co-stars Rose McGowan, Ron Perlman, Rachel Nichols and Stephen Lang.
