Check Out The First 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Trailer Here!

It's finally here - a full-length trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy," all prepped and ready for you to geek out on.

In case you're not quite as geeky for "Guardians" as some others may be, the trailer offers up a helpful run-down of characters and motivation. John C. Reilly and Peter Serafinowic discuss the rag-tag group of misfits they've brought into custody, including Peter Quill (Chris Pratt of "Parks and Recreation," showing off a new slimmed-down body for the role), who can't seem to get anyone to call him "Star-Lord," the legendary outlaw.

With some calling this Marvel film "the riskiest Marvel Film since 'Iron Man,'" due largely to the fact that a much smaller audience than usual is familar with the characters from the comic, the trailer does a good job of quickly establishing our who's-who.

The star-studded trailer includes glimpses of Djimon Hounsou, as well as Drax the Destroyer played by wrestler-turned-actor Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana as the deadly but beautiful Gamora, Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Vin Diesel playing Groot via performance capture, and Benicio Del Toro’s Collector as resident bad guy Taneleer Tivan.

Lee Pace, although he does not make a true appearance in the trailer, will also be starring as Ronan, the evil villain threatening the universe that our team must defeat.

Aside from the character run-down and the happy glimpses of Zoe Saldana and Chris Pratt's abs, the "Guardians" trailer promises plenty of action, explosions, and wise-cracks.

Directed by James Gunn, "Guardians of the Galaxy" hits theaters August 1st.

Will you be there?
