Charlie Sheen's Gift to Lindsay Lohan
by Shannon KeirnanHere’s a weird, fun tidbit to round off the week.
Apparently Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan got pretty close on the set of their mutual flick, “Scary Movie 5.” So close, in fact, that Sheen is throwing the “Liz & Dick” star a big, fat bone.
After opening up to Sheen about her $233,904 debt to dear old Uncle Sam for not paying taxes between 2009 and 2010, Sheen did the unthinkable—he sent a check for $100,000 to her business manager to help cover the costs.
Who knew Sheen was such a good friend to have in your time of need? Of course, it helps that Sheen himself has gone through some pretty interesting ups and downs during his career. Safe to say he can relate.
Reports say that the two became close on-set, and Lohan confided her financial troubles to him. Sheen, at the time, offered to help her, but Lohan turned down his generous offer.
Sheen sent the check anyway, and Lohan applied it to her back taxes.
Will Lohan finally manage to get her act together with help like this, or is Sheen just tossing away perfectly good money he could totally be putting toward tiger’s blood?
Interesting to note that Lohan should make about two million bucks this year. In an effort to throw herself back into working, she’s finished the Lifetime “Liz & Dick,” and wrapped on the questionable “The Canyons.” Add on endorsements and an appearance in Playboy, and the woman’s not doing too bad for herself. Maybe Sheen’s just a sucker for a sob story and forgot to do his research.
