Charlie Sheen Missed Out on Wednesday's Set Time, Again

Charlie Sheen missed a bit of work on Wednesday morning. Are you surprised?

Who wouldn’t be tired after a week or so of carousing with hookers in a Las Vegas hotel! It’s exhausting work being a playboy and maintaining your party boy image.

Even though Charlie did make it to set on Tuesday, even though he was late, he did show up.

Spies on the set even say he did great hitting his lines in rehearsal. So what’s going on? How can an addict keep it together?

Practice. But on Wednesday, Charlie called in sick with an ear infection. I guess flying back and forth took its toll. From Radar Online:

Sheen apparently told the producers that he needed to see a doctor and would be at a rehearsal in the afternoon, according to website Deadline Hollywood.

His rep told the site: “Charlie woke up this morning with an ear infection, and he will go see his doctor first, and then go to the set.”

CBS and Warner Bros. Television brass is “worried” about how to proceed with their sitcom star, according to sources. Options discussed include sending Sheen to rehab or even shutting down the show.

Sheen currently commands a reported $2million per episode and it has been one of the network’s top-rated programs for the past eight years.

I can see the future…another star comes along who has a great show, gets in the party mood and causes a disturbance for the network. Their bad behavior is tolerated, because hey, if the star can make the show #1, who cares what a mess their personal life is in. DO you think CBS will take a stand?
