Charlie Hunnam is King Arthur in New Trailer

Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is sure to be an exciting King Arthur in director Guy Ritchie's upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. A new teaser trailer released this week emphasizes just how exciting Hunnam's take on the legendary king is going to be.

The 45-second trailer begins with Hunnam's Arthur growling to an unspecified audience, "I am here now because of you. You created me, and for that I bless you."

Then it launches into all sorts of action, including jumping off cliffs, stampeding (and apparently giant) elephants, demon warriors, slashing swords, surging armies, and explosions (which you have to work pretty hard to fit into medieval epics). The clip is heavy on special effects and action and very light on any indication of a plot.

In the movie, which is due out in May, Arthur has grown up as a street kid instead of in the safe confines of Sir Ector's castle as is traditionally the case. But he still realizes his birthright when he yanks a sword out of a stone, and then, apparently, all manner of chaos breaks loose.
