Charlie Hunnam Has 'No Facts' About 'Sons of Anarchy' Prequel

In a recent interview, Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam admitted that he knows nothing about the plans to produce a prequel to the popular FX series, but that didn't stop him from making a joking prediction about the premise of the prequel series.

"I believe it's sort of like an origin of motorcycle culture in America," Hunnam told Entertainment Tonight before conceding that he's really not in the loop during the series' planning stages. "I'm really just making it up, because I don't know any facts."

Hunnam is not only excluded from the proposed new series' pre-production process, he won't play any part in any SoA spin off. He made light of the reason for his exclusion in the ET interview, but rumor has it that Hunnam and series creator Kurt Sutter did not get along well - some rumors suggest that the pair nearly came to blows at some point - and that they're probably not eager to work together again.

The status and premise of the long-awaited SoA spin off are unclear at the moment. The series is officially in development at FX, and the assumption has been that it will focus on the Mayans, the Latino rival gang to Jax Teller's SAMCRO. But other rumors have swirled around the possibility of a SoA prequel series, which could be the in-development project or another proposed project altogether, a bit of confusion that Hunnam's comments did little to clear up.
