Channing Tatum Considers Evel Knievel and 'Magic Mike 2'

Tatum is reportedly in talks to star in a biopic about famed daredevil Evel Knievel from Columbia Pictures. Tatum would also be on to produce the film along with producing parter Reid Carolin. Carolin will take on the responsibilities of writing the script, as well.

Another possibility for Tatum is a sequel to the successful "Magic Mike," which enjoyed a strong opening weekend and has thus far earned more than 10 times its budget: it was made for $7 million and has grossed more than $75 million.

When asked about the possibility of a "Magic Mike 2," Tatum said, "Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger."

At this point, Tatum could do just about anything. With appearances in "Haywire," "The Vow," "21 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike," Tatum's exposure is through the roof, even with "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" being pushed back. Tatum is also lined up for wrestling biopic "Foxcatcher" and for a leading role in the presidential hostage crisis action flick "White House Down."
