'Celebrity Rehab' Update: Michaele Salahi Replaced by Sean Young, Tareq Threatens to Sue

'Celebrity Rehab' Update: Michaele Salahi Replaced by Sean Young, Tareq Threatens to Sue Yesterday, we reported that Michaele Salahi, who has appeared on "The Real Housewives of D.C.," was booted off of "Celebrity Rehab" for a reason that seemed pretty fair: she doesn't have an addiction.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Salahi will be replaced by "Blade Runner" and "The Young and the Restless" star Sean Young.

Apparently the producers of the show were told initially that Salahi needed rehab and would be a good fit for the show, but an investigation found that the reality star and notorious party crasher has no drug or alcohol issues.

The closest claim Salahi could make toward needing rehab is that she needs treatment for stress related to dealing with her multiple sclerosis. Perhaps she misinterpreted what kind of "rehab" happens on the show.

Michaele's husband Tareq was apparently very angry about the firing (although not at first, as early reports quote him as joking about Michaele being "addicted to chocolate"), and is now threatening to sue.

His claim is that the producers fired Michaele because of her medical condition (referring to her multiple sclerosis), which Tareq and his lawyers say is "a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act."

The producers of the show cited the fact that Salahi lied about having an addiction when they fired her, saying that there was no point in her being on the show. So it seems like Tareq is grasping at straws a bit here. Then again, it's not as though anyone would be surprised at these two starting a fuss just for attention.
