Celebrities React to Death of Jenni Rivera Horrible news today, as singer Jenni Rivera’s downed plane is found, with no survivors.

Telemundo, who aired Rivera’s show “I Love Jenni,” released this statement:

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Rivera family and the families of her team, as we await for details and official confirmation from the authorities on this tragic accident."

Celebrities are taking to their Twitters to express their sadness and sympathy over the tragedy.

"X Factor" host Mario Lopez said this: "Spent some time with Jenni Rivera recently. What an amazing lady... Cool, smart, funny & talented. Such a travesty... God Bless her family.”

Eva Longoria said, "My heart breaks for the loss of Jenni Rivera & everyone on the plane. My prayers go out to her family. We lost a legend today."

Other Latin/American singers added their condolences, such as singer Pitbull, who tweeted, "I highly respected #JenniRivera 4 being a gr8 performer but more then tht being real & gr8 example 4 us all que dios la bendiga &may she RIP.”

Jennifer Lopez said, "So sad!! Praying for Jenni Rivera's children and family and the passengers families. Que dios los bendigan!! Descansen en paz..."

Gloria Estafan adds, "Our deepest sympathy to the family & fans of @jennirivera & those that accompanied her on what was to be her last voyage. Rest in peace…"

Rivera and six others were killed when their small jet went down in northern Mexico. No word is in yet on the cause of the accident.

Rivera leaves behind five children.
