Cee-Lo Green Weighs in on Mariah Carey/Nicki Minaj Feud
by Shannon KeirnanOh, “American Idol” drama, how you do entertain.
So Mariah Carey hates Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj wants to shoot Mariah Carey—figuratively, probably, although gut instinct says that Mariah Carey is probably one person you do not want to spend a lot of time around unless you’re comfortable with subservience.
If you haven’t heard about it, the reported feud between the two divas has officially become more than a rumor when video catches Minaj blowing up about being forced to put up with Carey, after Carey apparently called Minaj a “bitch.”
If you can translate whatever is going on in the video beyond the angry hand gestures, you’re one step ahead of me, but safe to say that Minaj and Carey ain’t best gal pals.
After their tiff, Barbara Walters reported that after Minaj left the set she announced that if she had a gun, she would shoot Carey.
Things get said in anger, but threatening harm to someone is never the bright thing to do. Especially because Carey has apparently taken it very seriously, stepping up her security team and thus fueling the flames even further.
But what do others have to say on the matter?
CeeLo Green, coach on competing talent show “The Voice,” has blown off the feud.
“This is Hollywood, California,” he said. “Hardly anything’s legit.”
Minaj is refusing to apologize, and also is suspicious that she might have been set up by “Idol” producers, but representatives for the show are knocking those accusations aside.
So is Green right? Has this all been set up to draw media attention to the show? Will viewers tune in to see Minaj and Carey sharpening their diamond-studded claws?
Maybe. Either way, it’s working!
