Cee Lo Green Joins 'Can A Song Save Your Life?' Cast
by Sean ComerJust how far can Cee Lo Green's undeniable colorful charisma carry?
Might it break through one big, silver screen?
The best possible reason to tune in nightly to NBC's "The Voice" has been announced by Exclusive Media as joining the cast of "Can A Song Save Your Life?" alongside Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Hailee Steinfeld, Catherine Keener and fellow "The Voice" mentor Adam Levine, Coming Soon reports.
In the saga of a couple (Knightley and Levine) who come to New York running down dreams with little more than their musical passions, Green plays Troublegum, a hip-hop artist who provides the pair with resources to become breakthrough artists. When Levine dumps Gretta after being offered a solo deal, a producer (Ruffalo) rallies his own resources behind Knightley in the hopes it will breathe new life into his estranged wife (Keener) and daughter (Steinfeld).
Despite the main cast appearing set, there's little word concerning a shooting schedule.
It's merely the latest in a trend of "The Voice" mentors taking off into side projects between seasons. Levine is also set for a significant role in the second season of Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story" on FX. In addition to their combined role in this project and Levine's upcoming role in "American Horror Story," the pair are also in the midst of third-season auditions for "The Voice," set to premiere Sept. 10.
