Catch up on What You Need to Know for 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes'

Caesar is back in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, but audience will note a ten-year gap between this film and "Rise of the Planet of the Apes."

A video was released previously that gave a glimpse of what had happened in the drastic decade spanning the films, but now fans can see the downfall of civilization in specifics.

In a three-part short video series, year one, five, and ten are covered.

The first video deals with the outbreak of the Simian Flu as it rips through humanity. The second showcases the smudging boundaries between humans and apes, as they encroach closer and closer.

The final year before "Dawn" showcases everything you will need to know about the decline of the human race- basically, that the only humans left are immune to the Simian Flu. The video follows one shotgun and those who it is passed on to, as the Flu ultimately overcomes our race.

In "Dawn" Caesar and a band of apes have a functioning society in the woods of California, with humans largely destroyed by the Simian Flu. When survivors stumble across Caesar's camp, a war brews.

Already getting good buzz, the film opens July 11th, so make sure you're in the know, and check out the videos below!
