New Directions Vs. Trouble Tones: Catch A Preview Of Next Week's 'Glee'

New Directions Vs. Trouble Tones: Catch A Preview Of Next Week's 'Glee' As the saying goes, "Glee" could be "peaking at the right time."

After the first part of the third season was spent digging deep into inspired selections from "West Side Story," the FOX smash has turned up the heat in the past month or so.

The cast's second Christmas album topped the iTunes charts not long after its release, the landmark Adele mash-up featuring Amber Riley and Naya Rivera was met with raves, this past Tuesday's episode featured a sensational rendition of "I Kissed A Girl" led by Santana (Naya Rivera) and news has broken that Ricky Martin and Gloria Estefan may both make January guest appearances in big roles.

But judging from this preview, the show's mercury only rises next week as New Directions' sectionals collision-course with the Trouble Tones approaches. As a matter of fact, looking for any edge they can get, the McKinley High singers dig deep and track down someone who's previously only made the group stronger.

Judging from Fin's (Cory Monteith) jaw-agape expression at the end of this clip, the circumstances could've been a little less awkward.

Not that it looks like Rachel (Lea Michele) has any complaints.
