'Buckwild' Star Shain Gandee and 2 Others Found Dead

'Buckwild' Star Shain Gandee and 2 Others Found Dead Sad news today. “Buckwild” break-out star Shain Gandee was found dead at the end of a road in Sissonville, Kentucky.

Gandee was found with the bodies of his uncle, David Gandee, as well as a friend, Donald Robert Meyers. They had been reported missing and an aerial search was being arranged when their truck was found by a friend of Gandee near a trail used for off-roading purposes.

The three were last seen at a bar at 3 a.m., where they announced that they were going off-roading.

There does not appear to have been foul play involved.

The Ford Bronco which contained the three was found stuck in mud, its muffler below the surface and mud covering the passenger side. Authorities are refusing to speculate at this point, however, if the muffler was submerged with the engine still running, it is possible that carbon monoxide leaking into the truck could have poisoned them.

“We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident," MTV said in a statement. "We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. Shain had a magnetic personality, with a passion for life that touched everyone he met and we will miss him dearly.”

Shooting has already begun for the second season of “Buckwild,” but MTV spokeman Jake Urbanski said that it has been suspended.

Shain, also called “Gandee Candy,” was known for his love of the outdoors, his eagerness to lend a hand, and his rowdy exploits on the show.
