Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara Coming To Final '30 Rock' Season

Bryan Cranston, Catherine O'Hara Coming To Final '30 Rock' Season Kenneth needn't worry about a pop-in without warning from his mom and "friend" on the final season of "30 Rock." The "friend" is the one who knocks.

Never at a loss for well-placed guest stars, the swan song of NBC's prime-time-production satire will feature veteran actress Catherine O'Hara starring as Jack McBrayer's (Alec Baldwin) assistant's mother, and three-time Emmy winning "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston as her companion, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With Cranston's time as the violent, intense meth chef Walter White on the AMC drama coming quickly to a close - the summer finale airs Sunday, followed by the final eight episodes of the series airing during Summer 2013 - "30 Rock" marks Cranston's second entry into NBC's Must See TV lineup. He's also set to direct an episode during the ninth and final season of "The Office."

Elsewhere, he's been popping lately with a co-starring role in this past summer's "Total Recall" remake, and lending his vocal talents to FOX's "The Simpsons," "The Cleveland Show" and "Family Guy"; FX's "Archer"; and Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken."

Though she has starred many times on both big and small screens since the 1980s, O'Hara counts among her television credits "Glenn Martin, DDS," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Six Feet Under."

Being born in that decade, I of course remember her most fondly as Kevin McCallister's mother in "Home Alone" and "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York."

Accordingly, NBC has lured back Maulik Pancholy to play Jack's lovable go-fer. The new season debuts Thursday Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
