'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 2, Episode 6: 'Jake and Sophia' Recap

Terry and Jake prep for their court hearing the next day, as Jake laments his bad dating luck. Terry suggests he just avoid talking about work so much, and sends him off to chat up a beauty at the end of the bar (guest star Eva Longoria).
It's time for union re-elections. Rosa and Amy try to get Holt to intervene and keep Scully, who is terrible, from winning again, but he is not allowed to be involved. Rosa tells Amy to run against Scully, but she thinks it might jeopardize her chances to become Captain one day.
Gina and Charles fight over a non-refundable lover's weekend they booked, both taking devious means to try to get the other one to work late.
Rosa takes matters into her own hands and puts up election posters for Amy. Amy decides to just throw the election. Holt takes her aside and tells her that, although he isn't allowed to say anything, she should run. He thinks she would be a good fit and reassures her that it won't ruin her career. She runs and is elected.
Jake and Terry go to their trial, and find out their usual opposition defense lawyer has hurt himself, and has been replaced with the beautiful woman Jake slept with - Sophia Perez.
Jake tries to have her replaced, but the judge allows her to stay. Jake calls a meeting and tries to get everyone to get more evidence to use against her and her client. Amy's suggestion turns out successful, and they find the tools used for the robbery.
However, they still lose the case. Jake is furious, but Terry points out that Jake seems to really like Sophia, and they hit it off unusually well before they knew about each others' careers. Jake goes and asks her out again, and she agrees, as long as they don't talk about work.
Charles tells Gina he has given the room to his father for the weekend... horrifying Gina, who also gave the room to her mother.
