'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 2, Episode 5: 'The Mole' Recap

When he goes for his questioning, he denies any wrongdoing. However then he goes to Amy and requests her help - he had taken home some files and forgot to bring them back. As he has no car at the moment, she takes him to go retrieve them.
Deputy Chief Madeline Wunch comes in to lord it over Holt that something is wrong in his precinct. Angry, Holt reminds Terry and Rosa that it's important to make a big break on the drug front. They tell him they are going to a silent disco to seek information.
Jake has Amy bring him to Gina's, where he used to live, to get the files, but they find Charles and Gina having sexy time. Jake is horrified that Charles has lied to him. He grabs the files, but gets caught by Miller as he is returning them.
In the middle of the night he goes to Holt and tells them about being caught, and how he will be suspended. He needs to find the real mole to clear his name - a change of tune Holt notes. Jake figures he has been misled by Charles, he could be wrong about everyone.
At the silent disco, Terry meets a girl who wears a shirt from the preschool where his girls go. She doesn't drink or do drugs, so she's not much help, but Terry is pleased his girls are being raised right. However later they talk with more people, and find out she is the dealer of the giggle pig. They take her in, and Terry looks foolish trying to figure out from her where she went wrong in her life.
To redeem himself, he calls the preschool and finds out she lied about her name. He tracks her and finds some promising leads. Rosa reassures him that he is a great dad and doesn't have to worry his daughters will go down the same path.
Holt and Jake stay up all night trying to find the mole, and finally accusing one another. As they argue, Holt says Jake deserves to be suspended.
The next morning Jake declares he has figured it out - he thinks Lt. Miller is the mole. Holt thinks back to Madeline being there, and decides it might be a real possibility she sent him there to ruin Holt. They need proof.
Jake brings a USB to Miller and tells him to watch it. He does - with Madeline there, and their conversation is recorded. Holt tells Madeline that she could go down for violating ethics. He demands she leave them alone or she'll take them down.
Gina goes in and announces to everyone that she has slept with Charles, led by advice from Amy that it would be better to let it out and then blow over.
As a little reward for Jake, Holt lets him in on his own secret - his middle name is Jacob.
