'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 2, Episode 15: 'Windbreaker City' Recap
by Shannon KeirnanJake isn't doing well after breaking up with Sophia... everyone wants to distract him.
The opportunity comes in the form of Homeland Security, who invite the NYPD to participate in a counter-terrorism drill. They are the only non-federal agency invited, and it is an honor.
However, they are assigned to be the hostages. Jake doesn't make things any better by being rude to the commander. Unable to distract himself from texting Sophia, Jake decides to break out of his hostage role and take out the "terrorists" on his own. He enlists everyone else but Terry.
Amy and Rosa use the opportunity to fight over who will get Saturday off. They decide the highest body count wins, but continue to tie.
After taking out all the terrorists, with help from Terry, who ends up joining them, Jake has them switch sides. As the bad guys, they take on Homeland and the Marshalls. It seems an even draw. Rosa and Amy get trapped, and Amy shoots Rosa for the extra body, getting her Saturday off. She relinquishes it, however, when she finds out that Rosa was planning on introducing Marcus to her parents.
Jake is finally shot by the commander after talking too much. Rather than being upset, though, he is appreciative of the fun and distraction.
Meanwhile, back at the precinct, Gina has Holt take a personality test to help her with her class. He is horrified when they are ranked the same.
Jake brings Sophia's box of stuff back to her building, admitting that he has to get over her.
