'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Recap: Season 3, Episode 20: 'Paranoia'

Rosa and Adrian.... are engaged? Apparently during a drug bust the two decided to make it official.

Rosa tells Jake Adrian is going to ask him to be best man so act surprised. She also says Terry is unhappy with the wedding, since he (rightly) thinks Adrian is insane. Rosa asks Jake to help Terry see the "real" Adrian during the bachelor party. Rosa asks Amy, Rosa, and Charles to be her co-maid-of-honors.

Since they're getting married next week, things need to be planned quickly. Terry is reluctant to participate since he disapproves of Adrian, but Jake reminds him that his approval is important to Rosa. Since Charles, Gina, and Amy can't agree on a bachelorette party concept, Rosa suggests they do all three.

On the party bus, Jake reminds Terry to keep an open mind, but when Adrian knocks out the driver and steals the bus because something is trying to kill him, Terry's mind is closed. Adrian insists someone has been following him for days, and they need to get the drop on him. Terry agrees to go only to prove Adrian is making this up. They go into the apartment complex Adrian insists the man lives in, and find it's abandoned and no one has been in there for years.

Rosa attends the first party, thrown by Gina, wherein they go paintballing with a bunch of teenage boys. It's good. Then they have Amy's, which is a quizzing drinking game. Everyone gets hammered. It is also good.

Adrian is reserved when they go out for dinner, knowing everyone is angry at him. Jake tries to smooth things over, which fails when Adrian tackles the waiter. However, the waiter is carrying a gun and a photo of Adrian, proving someone is actually trying to kill him. They interrogate the killer and find out that the man who hired him doesn't know what he looks like. They decide to stage Adrian's death and impersonate the killer.

It's Charles' turn - he brings Rosa to a restaurant... that was shut down. They all demolish it. It's her favorite party.

Jake puts on a ski mask and gets the money for "killing" Adrian. They trail the man in their party bus. He goes to the FBI and everyone is horrified to realize that an agent is working with Jimmy Figgus to kill Adrian Pimento.

They discuss what to do. Adrian thinks he needs to run and disappear forever. They think he's dead, so now is his chance. Jake tries to talk him out of it, or at least into saying goodbye to Rosa, but Adrian takes off.

The next morning Jake takes Rosa for a walk to tell her what happened, and she's crushed. They run into Adrian, however, who came back to say goodbye to Rosa. She tells him she'll wait for him, and she'll find the FBI agent responsible and kill him.

Terry briefs Holt on what happened, and the nine-nine begins a top-secret mission to save Adrian.
