Brett Favre Fined But Not Suspended From NFL Over Jenn Sterger Incident

Brett Favre Fined But Not Suspended From NFL Over Jenn Sterger Incident Brett Favre got an expensive addition to his phone bill today. For his lack of cooperation in the NFL’s investigation of him sexting New York Jets TV personality Jenn Sterger, he was fined $50K. Ouch. $50 grand because he would not give away details to incriminate himself. He must have a lot to hide if he is willing to pay the fine to stay out of trouble!

Brett is accused of sending inappropriate text pictures of himself to the NY Jets trainer at the time, Jenn. She supposedly brushed him off. He also sent other texts and seemed to want an affair with her. Somehow, news of this leaked out this fall.

The NFL looked in to the claims, but neither Jenn nor Brett seemed to want to cooperate. They slapped him with the fine today, but what will happen to her?

From the NY Times:

The N.F.L. said it found no evidence that Favre’s behavior toward Jenn Sterger violated league policy about workplace conduct. The N.F.L. made clear that its policies do not extend to private conduct and do not pass judgment on the appropriateness of personal relations.

“On the basis of the evidence currently available to him, Commissioner Goodell could not conclude that Favre violated league policies relating to workplace conduct,” the N.F.L.’s statement said. “The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger. The review found no evidence to contradict the statements of both Favre and Sterger that they never met in person, nor was there anything to suggest that Sterger engaged in any inappropriate conduct.”

It seems that Brett got off the hook easily…with the NFL. What does his long time wife Deanna say about the incident? No one knows..yet.
