Report: Britney Spears Getting Engaged

Last night, Britney Spears caused speculation with an enthusiastic Twitter that she had gotten engaged to boyfriend Jason Trawick, her 40-year-old former agent. Today it has been confirmed. Britney's gettin' hitched.

"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo," Spears tweeted last night, causing fans to speculate that she might have gotten engaged.

Trawick confirmed the announcement today, officially telling "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush "yes we are engaged," adding the couple was "over the moon."

The much older and (to be honest) sort of average-looking Trawick apparently got close to Spears while representing her during all of the struggles she had with kevin Federline and her children from late 2006-2008.

Us Weekly, who first reported on the engagement said that Trawick "was one of the only people who stuck by her through everything."

According to USA Today, the couple made an announcement back in 2010 that they had "decided to end their professional relationship and focus on their personal relationship."

In the meantime (lest you think surface level looks don't matter to Spears) according to Us Weekly, Trawick "underwent an impressive body makeover and lost 50 pounds in the past two years."

This will be Spears' third marriage (if you include her two-day quasi-marriage to friend Jason Alexander).
