Terrifying 'Breaking Bad' Star Giancarlo Esposito Joins ABC Fairy Tale Show

Terrifying 'Breaking Bad' Star Giancarlo Esposito Joins ABC Fairy Tale Show Caution: "Breaking Bad" spoilers ahead!

In last night's season premiere of "Breaking Bad," Giancarlo Esposito had to take his character, Gus Fring, to a rather violent extreme that he hasn't taken him before. In a chillingly stoic scene, Gus quietly preps himself before slicing his henchman's throat with a box cutter in front of Walt and Jesse.

"He’s sending a message to Walt, he’s also sending a message to Jesse," Giancarlo told New York Magazine. As you will start to see in season four as it unfolds, Jesse is the next person he has to really get to, because Walt seems to be stumbling."

Giancarlo also noted how people treat him differently thanks to the character of Gus: "When I went down the red carpet line recently in Los Angeles for the premiere, at the beginning, reporters and writers who know each other said, 'I have a friend at the end who’s afraid to talk to you.'"

But that's not stopping Giancarlo from joining ABC's fairy tale drama "Once Upon a Time." The actor is set to join the series as two characters (or two sides to one character, depending on how you look at it)...he'll be playing Sidney, a reporter for The Daily Mirror, but will also be playing the Magic Mirror that advises the Evil Queen in the fairy tale land.

"Once Upon a Time," which also stars "Big Love" actress Ginnifer Goodwin, will premiere on ABC on October 23.
