Is Bradley Cooper the Sexiest Man Alive?

Bradley Cooper has a rough life. He spent two years with Renee Zellwegger, has been seen out cavorting with recently single J Lo, hit paydirt with "The Hangover" franchise, and now he's got another notch in his ruggedly handsome belt. People Magazine has just voted him this year's "Sexiest Man Alive."

We're gonna guess he helped his cause immensely by doing some recent interviews in entirely fluent French (see below). Well played, Cooper. The Most Interesting Man in the World would approve.

As a smart, single 36-year-old man would, Cooper is showing a quite a bit of humility about the award.

"I think it's really cool that a guy who doesn't look like a model can have this [title]," said Cooper.

"I think I'm a decent-looking guy. Sometimes I can look great, and other times I look horrifying," said the "Limitless" actor.

He also gave a shout out to his Mom when he heard about the award.

"The first thing I thought," Cooper told People, "was, 'My mother is going to be so happy.'"

Man, this guy's good.

Coooper beat out Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, Robert Pattinson, Tayor Lautner, Prince Harry and 94 other worthy gents for the honor.

As with this year's Emmys, "Parks and Recreation" star Nick Offerman (aka Ron Swanson) did not win a well-deserved award, but he did get nominated this time, and told the People team all about what "date night" means for Ron Swanson. Check it out here.

Did People get it right? Is Bradley Cooper all that (and a bag of low-fat chips)? Who's your vote?
