'Boy Meets World' Creator Talks 'Girl Meets World'
by Zack WellsSeries creator (and executive producer on “Girl Meets World”) Michael Jacobs reveals that he was initially against doing a sequel to “Boy Meets World”, but after lots of thought, he wanted to create a show for a new generation of kids – kids that live in a different world than the one in “Boy Meets World”.
He is also excited to continue the storyline of Cory and Topanga as they face the challenges of being parents, (a similar challenge of the viewers who grew up with “Boy Meets World”) while creating a new experience for the today’s children.
The series will focus on the confusions and challenges of growing up, and the dilemma of what we are supposed to be VS what we should aspire to be.
Many past cast members have expressed interest in returning to “Girl Meets World”, which has Jacobs very excited. If the show gets picked up by Disney, there are very strong possibilities of past favorites making a return (Mr. Feeny, anyone?). However, many of the supporting cast of characters will remind viewers of past favorites, such as Sean, Eric, and even Minkus.
Stay tuned as news continues to roll in about this exciting upcoming show.
