Blindspot Coming to Hulu

Netflix typically does a pretty good job of snapping up exclusive streaming rights for hot TV series and keeping them away from competitors, but if you want to watch last season's episodes of one broadcast TV's biggest hits, your Netflix subscription is not going to get the job done.
Hulu announced this week that it has completed a deal with Warner Bros. that will give the service exclusive streaming rights for Blindspot, one of the top-rated new series of the 2015-2016 season. Under the deal, season 1 of Blindspot will debut on Hulu after it finishes airing on NBC, and Hulu also secured the rights to future seasons of the show.
The deal also gives Hulu the right to stream other Warner Bros' TV properties, including Fox's Lucifer and TNT's Rizzoli & Isles, as well as older titles such as The O.C. and Smallville.
These big-name series join other recent Hulu triumphs, including its acquisition of streaming rights for Empire, The Goldbergs, The Last Man On Earth, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Hulu also recently scored on its competitors by becoming the home of 11.22.63, a series based on a novel by Stephen King, starring James Franco, and produced by J.J. Abrams.
