'Biggest Loser' Serves Up Anna Kournikova as Season 12 Trainer

'Biggest Loser' Serves Up Anna Kournikova as Season 12 Trainer One of the things that makes reality TV so interesting is that every once in a while, something will happen to make you go "Wait, what?!"

Take, for example, the latest news out of the "Biggest Loser" camp. The show will be entering its 12th season next year, and trainer Jillian Michaels, who has been with the show since the beginning, will be leaving. This leaves a hole to be filled by another competent trainer who can help people lose massive amounts of weight.

"The Biggest Loser" decided to go with Anna Kournikova instead.

Okay, admittedly I don't know a lot about Anna Kournikova. I know she's from Russia, I know she's a tennis pro, and I know that she's very attractive. All of these things lend themselves to success on "The Biggest Loser." An athlete that isn't a trainer by trade is still an athlete, and can probably whip some people into shape.

On the other hand, Kournikova was always known a bit more for her looks than her tennis ability. But hey, even if she was hired for her looks and the athleticism was an afterthough, "The Biggest Loser" might still end up being a big winner.

The 11th season just wrapped up last night, and the 12th will begin midseason next year.
