'Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Preview: Sheldon's Back

'Big Bang Theory' Season 8 Preview: Sheldon's Back Sheldon's back!

This new preview clip from the upcoming eighth season of "The Big Bang Theory" shows that, despite how last season ended, Sheldon won't be gone for too long.

When we last left Sheldon, he was on a train heading out of town to escape all the changes in his life that he felt unequipped to deal with.

But as the clip shows, Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) head out after Sheldon and bring him back home to Pasadena.

Still, Sheldon is gone for more than a month before returning. "He's gone for 45 days," previewed "Big Bang" showrunner Steve Molaro, "and it doesn't end as well as he'd like with him having all of his belongs stolen while he was asleep in the sleeper car."

Though things aren't going great for Sheldon, Jim Parsons is having a great year, having just won yet another Emmy for his role in the show. Additionally, he and fellow stars Galecki and Kaley Cuoco neogitated new deals for "Friends money" ($1 million per episode) plus backend bonuses, making them the highest-paid sitcom stars currently on television.
