'Big Bang Theory' Season 7: The Sheldon-Penny-Leonard Triangle

'Big Bang Theory' Season 7: The Sheldon-Penny-Leonard Triangle It's not much, but when you're waiting for the return of your favorite show after its summer hiatus, you take what you can get. This week, CBS released a few details about the premiere of "The Big Band Theory"'s seventh season, including the titles of the first two episodes and a synopsis of the hour-long, two-episode season debut.

Judging by the plot summary, the relationships between Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) may start out the season a little on the strained side, since Sheldon and Penny will be getting intimate—as in sharing intimate secrets—while Leonard is away at sea. After the intimacy, the fragile Sheldon ends up with "crushed" feelings when Leonard comes home.

Side plots involve Raj (Kunal Nayyar) trying to recover from his break-up and Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) dealing with a conflict between his masculinity and his relationship with his mother. The summary also notes that Regina King will return in the role of Mrs. Davis, and Kevin Sussman will be on hand as Stuart, the owner of the comic book store.

The first episode of the season will be titled "The Hofstadter Insufficiency," and the second will be called "The Deception Verification." Both episodes are set to air on Sept. 26.
