Beyonce Gives Birth To Baby Girl Named 'Blue Ivy Carter'

Update (1/1): It is now being confirmed that sources told E! News the official name is 'Blue Ivy Carter'.

Beyonce and Jay-Z are finally proud parents of a new baby girl named 'Blue Ivy Carter'!

TMZ confirmed that the rockstar couple gave birth on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at Lennix Hill Hospital in New York City.

It's being reported that the child was birthed by c-section with proud papa Jay-Z by her side.

In true Hollywood spirit, friends shared the news with the world by sending out birth announcements via Twitter.

R&B star Rihanna tweeted:

Hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons joined the party by tweeting:

Lets not hold our breath on any photos being released in the near future.  The Daily News reported early tonight that Beyonce and her hip-hop hubby, Jay-Z, rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor at Lennix Hill Hospital for a cool $1.3 million.
