Betty White Proudly Announces Her Congressional Endorsement

Oh, Betty White. Could it be you're just a sucker for any pretty man that bats some big ol' baby-blues at you?

At the very least, some gorgeous peepers will get a gent as far as a glowing political endorsement from America's Grandma. The former "Golden Girls" and "The Bob Newhart Show" and present "Hot In Cleveland" co-star stands alongside fellow actress Wendie Malick in this recent ad backing Rep. Howard Berman (D-Calif.) in his race to retain his U.S. House seat.

"He has very nice blue eyes," White says in the spot, casting her own ga-ga peepers off-camera to Berman himself, shown in the next shot to be holding an adorable pup in his arms.

White and Malick both champion Berman's stance as "the Valley leader who fights for the humane treatment of all animals," as White heralds him. But that's not all. Both also applaud Berman's efforts to help facilitate putting more police officers on his district's streets. Berman himself has estimated that entertainment industry endorsements could make up roughly one-fifth of his total support in his race (resulting from redistricting) against Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.).
