Bethenny Frankel's New Talk Show

Bethenny Frankel's New Talk Show The rise from reality TV star to natural foods chef and author to big-time business success has been like a sky rocket for "The Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel, and it only seems to be getting started.

While Frankel is currently filming the second season of "Bethenny Ever After" for Bravo (a follow up to the series "Bethenny Getting Married??"), and it very well may be her last.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reality TV phenom has just recorded a pilot for a new talk show, and she has Ellen Degeneres behind her on the project. THR called it "an advice-based talk show that began taping earlier this month."

An unnamed "insider" confirmed the story to The Huffington Post, saying “Telepictures couldn’t be happier with the pilot Bethenny shot. They know they have discovered the next great talk show host and it's Bethenny,”

Telepictures is the company behind shows like the "Tyra Banks Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and the now defunct "Lopez Tonight." The company has a deal with DeGeneres to devlop original programming, and Frankel is apparently one of the talents she's interested in working with.

In an interview earlier in the year, Frankel told THR she was interested in developing her own voice in the entertainment world beyond reality TV, so the deal is not entirely shocking.

“I want to be on TV in a format where I can have a longer conversation with my fans rather than 140 characters on Twitter. It probably will be a talk show,” said Frankel.

Plus, with the $120 million she made selling her Skinny Girl cocktail company to Fortune Brands' Beam Global, Frankel has the money these days to be a little more choosy about how she approaches projects.
