Benedict Cumberbatch's Fiancee is Pregnant!

He's been known by many names—Sherlock, Khan, Smaug—but now he's about to be known by one more: Dad.

"Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch and his fiancée, Sophie Hunter, are expecting their first child together!

A rep for the couple confirmed the news to MailOnline, saying, "I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child. They are both over the moon."

According to sources close to the couple, Sophie is "a few months along," and both parents-to-be are "very excited" about having a child.

This news comes just a couple of months after Cumberbatch announced his engagement by means of the "Births, Marriages and Deaths" section of The Times, which is just about the most British way he could have announced it.

The couple still plans to get married in the coming months, likely before the baby is born and likely in a small, private ceremony.
