The Next 'Bachelor': Ben from 'The Bachelorette'

The Next 'Bachelor': Ben from 'The Bachelorette' If you watched any of the last season of "The Bachelorette," or simply entertained yourself by reading Yidio writer Sleepless Colin's hilarious episode recaps, you'd know that this season was a particularly difficult one for the male contestants.

"The Bachelorette" Ashley Hebert put her suitors through emotional and sometimes (literal) physical hell, causing more than one contestant to simply leave the show.

Not all-around nice guy Ben Flajnik, though. The 28-year-old winemaker from California stuck it out through good times and bad with Hebert and was inches away from winning her hand before it was unceremoniously whisked away by eventual "winner" JP Rosenbaum.

Not only did Flajnik get rejected, but he did it on bended knee, while proposing to Ashley Hebert on a white sand bech in Fiji. Let's just say things went a little downhill after that.

Now according to Us Weekly, audience favorite Ben is coming back to do it again, this time as the new number one guy on "The Bachelor."

Since the story has yet to be confirmed by ABC (though it was just confirmed by EW), we're taking it all with a grain of salt, but it would be hard to deny the ratings potential for the popular Flajnik.

Plus, given the tough times Flajnik was forced to endure last season, he's probably due to run some ladies through the paces.

Watch Ben Flajnik (the new "Bachelor"?) get rejected by Ashley Hebert on the season finale of "The Bachelorette."
