Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Are Getting Divorced and We're Sooooooo Surprised

It's official: nothing good ever came of the Ben Affleck "Daredevil" movie.

According to an exclusive from People, Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting a divorce. The two starred together in "Daredevil" and married not long after, and have three children together.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the couple said in a joint statement. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

Affleck and Garner have been married for 10 years, but over the last few rumors circulated that their relationship was on the rocks. Just a couple of months ago, Affleck was spotted hanging out in Canada on Garner's birthday, without his wedding ring on his hand.

The announcement comes at a potentially high-profile time for Affleck, who is set to play Batman in the upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice." However, the movie doesn't hit theaters until March of next year, giving the couple a little bit of time out of the spotlight to mediate the divorce.
