Barbara Walters Snaps Back at Lindsay Lohan

One thing you do not want to do if you plan on being taken seriously in the world of show biz is cancel on Barbara Fricking Walters.

And yet, that is exactly what “Liz & Dick” starlet Lindsay Lohan went ahead and did. When she told Walters she would reschedule when it was right, Walters replied, “I should live so long.”

However the queen of the interview apologized after, saying, "I want to take it back. I'd love to interview her. Start fresh without the few clouds that are over her. She’s a nice girl, and I appreciate what she said."

She added, "What happened is that Lindsay Lohan had promised me her first interview. And, you know, there are certain questions that should be asked, and just before the interview, her new PR people canceled… "I heard she was going to do Jay. And Jay — I have to say — was very sweet, he called me and said, 'Look, I didn’t take her from you' and so on. [But] I’d been working forever on the questions. I’d gone to California to show her on ‘Liz & Dick.’

"If they had said to me, 'You know, Barbara, she isn’t up to the kinds of questions that you might ask… if they had told me that, I wouldn’t feel quite as disappointed as I do today."

Questions like, why so much stealing? And drugs? Etc? Those are clearly the best kind of questions.

Lohan’s laughable return to work premieres tonight on Lifetime, and something tells me that just watching it will be enough revenge for Barbara Walters.
