by EG
The Bachelor had already ended on a suspicious note after star Peter Weber proposed to one contestant, then called off the engagement to pursue a relationship with a different contestant. It almost makes you suspect that The Bachelor isn't really about finding love, after all. Read on for details.

On Thursday, “The Bachelor” star, 28, revealed he and finalist Madison Prewett “mutually decided to not pursue our relationship any further,” detailing his love for the 23-year-old Alabama native in an emotional Instagram post.
“I want to start by acknowledging the incredible group of women that I had the privilege of getting to know this season. Thank you for coming on this journey with me,” Weber began.
“Madi, thank you for your patience and unconditional love. You’re the epitome of a woman who carries herself with grace, stands by what she believes in, and loves whole heartedly. That love is something I feel so grateful to have felt and will take a piece of that with me always going forward,” he continued.
Weber, whose “Bachelor” journey wrapped Tuesday, initially proposed to fellow finalist Hannah Ann Sluss, 23, during the show’s finale. It was later revealed the pair called off their engagement amid Weber’s lingering feelings for Prewett, who had previously broken up with him.
