Ashton Kutcher's Almost-Gift To Demi Moore: A $100,000 Car

Well, Ashton Kutcher is probably a little new to apologies of this magnitude. But let this be a lesson about marital contrition among the rich and famous: when you're pulling down seven figures or higher per year, that also becomes the base price tag for a materialistic apology.

Look at Kobe Bryant. With his nine-digit, NBA-superstar salary, making amends for his cheating heart cost him one $4-million boulder of a diamond ring in 2003.

Before Demi Moore announced her plans Nov. 17 to divorce the "Two and a Half Men" star after a fall spent mooning over his many alleged infidelities, he had himself a cunning plan that might or might not have won her over. Just days before Moore announced her divorce via the Associated Press, Kutcher spent over $100,000 on a hybrid 2012 Lexus 600h he'd planned to give Moore as a shiny "Mea culpa" with some eco-friendly horsepower, according to the U.K. Daily Mail.

It also would've been a belated-birthday gift, since Moore blew out her candles on Nov. 11.

The damage might've already been done by the pair's priorities just being two different. A source told People Magazine recently "He knows that with Demi he won’t have kids, and he really wants kids. When he married Demi, he didn’t realize it at the time. He didn’t get it."

Recently, comedian and "Chelsea Lately" host Chelsea Handler talked to CNN's Piers Morgan about the rumors that the two savored an open relationship, due in part to Moore's rumored bisexuality.

"I think they probably had a lot of good times with some other women... Clearly they had a lot of threesomes, that led to twosomes without Demi and that leads to a divorce. I absolutely feel for her," Handler said.
