'Arrow' Sneak Peek: Colton Haynes Makes His Speedy Debut

Colton Haynes, most popularly known as Jackson from MTV’s “Teen Wolf” is set to debut in the February 20 episode of “Arrow” titled “Dodger”.

In the episode, Haynes is playing the role of Roy Harper, which is a name that should sound familiar to any “Green Arrow” fans out there.

Harper is described as handsome and street-savvy, acting as a pickpocket to make ends meet as he lives in the poorer area of Starling City. Harper has a run in with Oliver Queen’s younger sister, Thea Queen, and the two eventually hit it off, despite protestations from her family. Harper is destined to become a big part of Thea’s life, and a bigger part of the “Arrow” series.

So, that makes me wonder…

Traditionally, Roy Harper doubles as Oliver Queen’s (The Green Arrow) trusty teenage sidekick Speedy. In more recent times, Roy Harper finds himself as a member of the “Teen Titans” as Arsenal, and even a member of the “Justice League of America” as Red Arrow.

In CW’s “Arrow”, however, it’s not confirmed nor denied that Haynes/Harper will go on to act as Queen’s sidekick. Since the pilot episode debuted, it was speculated that Oliver Queen’s younger sister (and “Arrow” exclusive) Thea would fill that role, as Queen tends to call her “Speedy”.

So what will it be? Will Harper go on to play Speedy, or will Thea Queen pick up that slack? I guess only time will tell.
