Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns To Showbiz

After serving the State of California as governor for eight years, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in the movie biz. We'll refrain from using his signature catchphrase to tell you about it.

On Thursday, the “Terminator’ actor tweeted, "Exciting news - my friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today."

The 63-year-old actor is referring to his agents - the Creative Artists Agency - who are responsible for representing him in any movie projects.

During his term as governor, Schwarzenegger made some short appearances in movies such as Jackie Chan’s remake of “Around the World in 80 Days” in 2004, and a cameo in Sylvester Stallone’s “The Expendables.”

Last month, Schwarzenegger expressed his desire to return to the movies, but told the Austrian paper Krone that "in the future, I have to adapt my roles to my age.”

“Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way. Extreme fighting or shooting is not possible anymore. I want to be more encouraged as an actor and I believe that I can manage this challenge. I am like a sponge, which is absorbing all the knowledge and always be willing to learn all new things,” added Schwarzenegger.

The actor also said that he’s been reading three different scripts, and is considering playing the role of an older soldier during World War II who is ordered to kill a group of kids in "With Wings as Eagles," a script from the writer of "Braveheart.".

There are also speculations that Schwarzenegger might appear in “Terminator Salvation.” A report from the Boston Herald quoted MGM CEO Harry Sloan, who said, “I think it’s in his contract to make an appearance.”
